selam, kemay ah’llekha; ሰላም, ከመይ ኣለኻ? (say to a young male)
selam, kemay ah’llekhoom; ሰላም, ከመይ ኣለኹም? (say to an old male as a respect or to plural male and mixed
gendersm/f)
selam, kemay aah’llekhee; ሰላም, ከመይ ኣልኺ? (say to a young female)
selam, kemay aah’llekhin; ሰላም, ከመይ ኣለኽን? (say to an old female as a respect or to plural female)
We also say kemay qenikhha which is popular to say when we do not see someone we know very well for a while or a week.

If you are in Eritrea as a visitor, just say selam only and the response you get is selam; or if you have the confidence to say the best of the short greetings, say:
selam, kemay?/dahan’doh? ሰላም, ከመይ/ ዳሓን ዶ?
say young/old male/female ‘I’ to anyone) – best way of the daily short greeting in Eritrea.

This book is written to teach the pronunciations of the Tygrigna language on its accurate and highest-level of standard. People who want to learn and speak the language which is 90% of its pronunciation is written correctly, should use this book or use it as a reference book to teach adults in universities or colleges due to each word used in this book are correctly pronounced. Short sentences written in both English and Tygrigna, also follow the basic structure of grammar in both English and Tygrigna languages too.
Each Tygrigna word is written in English and Tygrigna alphabets and the pronunciation is read by a UK English narrator to make sure anyone can learn the Tygrigna language’s pronunciation more accurately and speaks Tygrigna nearly like a native speaker.
